RESPONSIBILITIES
- Place orders for telecommunications services with last mile local access suppliers e.g. BT, C&W, COLT, TATA, KPN.
- Track status of open orders on a daily basis (and drive to completion).
- Successfully manage 25-35 last mile local access orders at any given time.
- Update process workflow systems and administrative databases on a daily basis.
- Maintain and publish weekly service delivery progress reports using the traffic-light reporting methodology.
- Liase with local on site client representatives in multiple countries.
- Manage escalation and expedite requests on behalf of client.
- Attend regular (telephone) meetings with client’s last mile local access suppliers.
- Design & document last mile local access solutions on behalf of client i.e. using DSL, MPLS, TDM, Ethernet, Fibre, Copper, Microwave
You may be asked to carry out additional tasks within your capability, in order to meet the needs of the business.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 2 years previous experience as service delivery manager working for a tier 1 telecommunications carrier or ISP.
- Proven capability in process workflow systems and the MSOffice suite of applications
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Demonstrable assertiveness
- Organised, structured and disciplined.
- Clear communicator; ability to connect with non-technical people.
The candidate will need to work irregular hours since clients are often in different timezone.
SALARY RANGE
£30,000 to £35,000 depending on experience
